Two Days in Magog : Must-See Experiences You Won’t Want to Miss

Are you visiting Magog for a weekend or spending a few weekdays in town? Here are some must-see stops to add to your vacation itinerary in spring, summer or fall for a wonderful taste of the charm of our town and its surroundings!

DAY 1

Morning: a bike ride

Did you know? Hôtel Versō is a “Bienvenue cyclistes” certified accommodation, meaning we welcome cycling enthusiasts with bike-friendly facilities. We’re also an ideal starting point for exploring the region along its many cycling trails. Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely sightseeing ride or something a little more athletic, you’ll find a route that suits you. If you didn’t bring your bike but still feel like pedalling around town, stop by Vélo Café to rent one. While you’re there, why not give an electric bike a try? It’s the perfect way to explore with a little extra boost.

Afternoon: Le Cep d’Argent

After all that pedalling, it’s time for some wine! Spend the afternoon among the vines at Le Cep d’Argent, where you can take in the view while sipping a glass of sparkling wine. You can also tour the wine cellar with a sommelier and taste several of their wines.

You don’t drink alcohol? Head to the colourful and relaxing fields at Bleu Lavande instead! It’s the kind of place where time seems to stand still, surrounded by fragrant little purple flowers. If you’re visiting outside the blooming season, there’s still plenty to enjoy, including the lovely boutique, the Café Bleu, a calendar filled with activities as well as the immersive Champs Chromatiques experience.

Evening: cruise on Lake Memphremagog

Walk over to the dock where Le Grand Cru, the magnificent catamaran operated by Escapades Memphrémagog (another PAL+ experience), awaits. Whether you join us for drinks or dinner, step aboard a gourmet cruise and admire the stunning scenery of Lake Memphremagog. If you’re joining us for dinner, you can also discover the new immersive experience, Murmures – Hidden Tales of Le Grand Cru, a truly one-of-a-kind multisensory journey.

DAY 2

Morning: Rivière-aux-Cerises marsh

This is the perfect place for a hike through a rich and vibrant natural environment. From spring until late fall, explore 4.4 km of boardwalk and gravel trails while taking in the abundant local flora and fauna of this remarkable wetland. The trails range from easy to intermediate, making them a great choice for all fitness levels and for a family outing in nature.

Afternoon: discover Magog on foot

Time to recharge! Have lunch at Bistro Kóz, where you can enjoy delicious Mediterranean-inspired cuisine paired with a breathtaking view of Lake Memphremagog.

From Hôtel Versō, downtown Magog is just a few minutes away on foot, making it easy to fit in a little shopping before leaving the region. Of course, there are plenty of wonderful shops to browse—Boutique Kip, Ville & Campagne, Scrupule & Cie, La Suite 100% Love, Beau et Fou… and many more!—but you can also visit the Musée international d’art naïf and Maison Merry, both just a short distance away.

See you soon!
