This newly opened refrigerated rink was a gift to the city from the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, which promotes healthy lifestyles and physical activity for youth. Since it’s refrigerated, it opens early in the season. As soon as temperatures drop to around or below zero, the BBB rink is ready for skaters. Equipment rentals, including helmets with cages, skates, and hockey sticks are free of charge.
Granby Public Market Covered Rink
160, Principale St., Granby | 40 minutes from Versō hôtel

Opened in early 2024, Granby’s covered rink has quickly become a favourite among skating enthusiasts in the region. Its roof (part of the public market) protects the rink from harsh winter conditions, making it easier to maintain high-quality ice. Check the city’s website(French only) for its opening date. Once ready, the rink is open Monday to Friday from 3 to 9 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
